Dust Off the Old, Strengthen the New

The sun is shining, the flowers are blooming and we are preparing for what’s ahead with cautious optimism. The warm weather is bound to make us antsy at our workspaces and make us daydream about summer. In our last blog post, we talked about the best ways to align your workplace with your personal values, and we encourage you to keep those tips in mind. To follow it up, it’s a great opportunity to dust off our old marketing strategies and strengthen them into new ones. So, let’s blow the pollen off and revamp those strategies!

KPIs

The tried-and-true KPIs, or key performance indicators, are quantifiable metrics used to measure the progress of a specific business toward defined goals and objectives, and businesses must have them to measure efficacy. Perhaps your KPIs reflect your company’s objectives such as revenue growth or expansion, and perhaps you have even been good at reviewing customer feedback to track your impact. But have you adjusted your KPIs to evolve as your company’s strategic priorities evolve? Have you used your customer feedback to adapt your KPIs to shifts in customer or market trends? When it comes to KPIs, change is what you need to look out for when you make adjustments. MIT Sloan School of Management states that 34% of organizations use AI to create new KPIs and 90% of those organizations see their KPIs improve. Use your resources and stay flexible in a changing atmosphere to realize the best results.

Value Propositions

Your value proposition, or the statement that clearly identifies the benefits a customer gains by purchasing your product or service, is your foundation for sales and storytelling. Amazon’s is “Convenience, low prices, fast delivery, and a massive selection.” Simple, yet effective. Make sure that your value proposition enables you to stand out from competitors. You should continually evaluate market trends, your competitors and your capabilities, and adjust your value proposition when needed. Know your target audience and use terms that give them the most clarity. Dust off those value propositions and ensure that they’re clear, relevant, consistent, and elevated to get your company’s message across effectively.

Thought Leadership

Positioning your company leaders as industry experts who offer valuable insights is crucial to getting your company on the consideration map. Your company leaders should share their expertise with customers and the industry to keep your brand top of mind. Your company leaders should author thought leadership and offer to the press, share on your company’s digital channels and amplify with social media. Post about your employees’ professional achievements and industry contributions on your website and social channels to amplify reach.

Reevaluating your KPIs, refining your value proposition when needed, and leveraging thought leadership are all essential components in staying competitive and relevant in an ever-changing market. By adjusting to align with evolving goals and objectives, customer needs, and market trends, you will ensure your marketing efforts continue to drive growth and success.

Let the sunshine inspire you to take a fresh look at your strategies, dust off the old, and elevate your approach to the next level. Here's to making this season the most productive and impactful yet!
